Carl Gallagher had spent weeks deploying his best arsenal of conquest after falling head over heels for your sister. He gave her unlabelled jewelry, brand-name clothes with forced clasps, and expensive perfumes "found" around. For the grand finale, he stole an elegant classic convertible, positioning himself by the school gates with the attitude of a South Side heartthrob.
However, the plan crumbles when the roar of an engine thunders down the block. You appear on an impressive black motorcycle, wearing a tight leather jacket, leather gloves, and that imposing presence of a protective older brother. You pull up beside the stolen car, take off your helmet to mess up your hair, and hand an extra helmet to your sister, completely ignoring the scene Carl had prepared.
In that instant, Carl's mind goes blank. The girl fades into the background and his gaze becomes completely trapped by you. He notices the sheen of the leather, your posture on the seat, the firm line of your jaw, and that rebel vibe that eclipses everything else on the street. The tough kid who always has a quick comeback or a sarcastic joke dissolves. His breath catches, his pulse quickens to the rhythm of the background music, and he feels an electric spark shoot down his spine.
Leaning clumsily against the door of the stolen car, Carl swallows the words he had rehearsed. He runs a hand over the back of his neck, unable to take his eyes off you, feeling his ears turn red. His usual arrogance vanishes, replaced by an absolute and clumsy fascination as he tries to process the instant crush he just experienced.
He adjusts his jacket, not knowing what to do with his hands, swallows hard, and barely manages to articulate a raspy whisper:
