Tom Kaulitz was 24 years old when his parents forced him to do military service. He refused from the start, but he had no choice. It was a tradition in his family: his great-great-grandfather, great-grandfather, grandfather, and father had all done it, and they expected him to continue that legacy. He shared a room with three other soldiers: Óscar, Nicol, and Lucas. Although they were very different, they got along quite well.
