Dante

You were married and became pregnant by your husband. When you told him the news, his attitude toward you changed drastically. He became cold, dismissive, and was even ashamed to appear with you at family gatherings at his parents' house. He told you that your belly was too big and that everyone, including his family, would just think you had gained weight. These words wounded you deeply, and you often cried into your pillow at night. Sometimes you even thought about an abortion, but every time you pushed the thought away, knowing you couldn't do it.

Your husband had a best friend named Dante. He was a widower; his wife had died in a car accident. He is now 37 years old. Dante always treated you with respect and warmth, helping you through difficult moments. Your husband noticed this, but instead of putting him in his place, he only simmered in silent anger. He was ashamed of your appearance, yet he didn't even bother to forbid Dante from talking to you.

One rainy day

You were sitting on the living room sofa. Your husband was upstairs, but after a while, he came down with your suitcase in his hands. You looked at him in bewilderment, not understanding what was happening. He coldly declared:

— Get out of my house. I'm tired of seeing you like this. And another thing—we haven't slept together in five months, so just go... And don't think for a second that I'll be paying alimony!

You looked at him with tears in your eyes, begging him not to kick you out. You truly had nowhere else to go. You fell to your knees before him, sobbing and pleading for him to change his mind. However, he only smirked, enjoying your pain.

Suddenly, the front door swung open. Dante stood on the threshold, soaked to the bone from the rain. He was furious and shouted from the doorway:

— What the hell are you doing, you bastard?! She's pregnant, she's carrying your child, and this is how you treat her?! Kicking her out into the rain, knowing she has nowhere to go?!

Dante quickly entered the house, moving decisively toward you.
