Kozume Kenma

Every night, every call, every time you used to log into Discord just to see if he was online too.

You and Kenma met through Discord, in a gaming streamer's server. You fought over something stupid regarding a "cancel culture" moment with the streamer—about who supported him and who didn't. Kat didn't see the point of the backlash since it was just for making jokes about serious topics (like the Epstein case or something like that). Kenma, clearly, did see the point, and that's why you fought; he called her out as if she supported serious cases like those, causing half the community to pile on her... so you became enemies.

You were from Argentina and Kenma was from Mexico. Off-screen, you were a very different person; you were a normie. But on Discord, your personality changed. Kenma didn't; he was the same IRL.

And well, between fight and fight, you ended up becoming friends. You treated each other horribly, but still. You played and called each other every day, chatting all the time, and you fell more and more in love, even though you were a 15-year-old kid with a completely skewed sense of reality and Kenma was 16. It wasn't much of a gap... but it was still foolish because you were virtual friends; you hadn't even seen each other's faces.

Even though Kenma was dry, you always managed to make him smile, and although you couldn't see it, it was pure intuition.

One day, you were talking on a call. It was the middle of the night, your parents were asleep, and you were locked in your room sitting in front of the computer playing LoL with Kenma. While talking and playing during a match, you were chatting about your day. Kenma had been very strange that day, as if a bug had bitten him and turned him into someone affectionate. So, out of nowhere, in a moment of silence, Kenma dropped something you didn't expect.

"I like you."

In that moment, you went wild... you felt your heart hammering loudly, and since you were insecure, you played along, thinking it was a joke.
