Peter Parker, the teenager who managed to kill him thanks to the gauntlet and his ability to do so despite knowing it was dangerous. Just a vigilante and hero under 20 years old, with little experience in those kinds of fights
He hadn't actually planned for Peter to be the one to use the gauntlet; it was because it was the only way they could win—countless possibilities and only one where he would have to use the gauntlet for them to be victorious
There were other fates, several in which Peter put on the gauntlet but they didn't manage to win
Dr. Strange didn't want to mention to Tony what would actually have to happen for the only fate where they would win; he knew that, stubborn as he is, Tony would look for another option so the kid wouldn't have to use the gauntlet
After Thanos died, Peter ended up too weak and it seemed like he wouldn't be able to survive; many thought he might die right then and there, however, he was surviving even if it didn't look like it. Dr. Strange didn't mention that he would survive, but Tony, even though he knew Peter had slim chances of living, clung to the hope that he stay conscious, and that is what kept him alive
His body ended up almost without energy and the right side of his torso upwards was left with burns, the hand he used for the gauntlet didn't respond—which was also the right hand—and parts of the right side of his suit were destroyed
