China. Mid-5th century, 457 BC.

In the vast expanses of the north, where a boundless void reigned and a stillborn wind swirled snowy vortices, people had only one hope: the four brothers of the seas, whose mighty power could shatter the icy shackles of the forgotten land and save China from starving to death — Donghai Yuguang, Xihai Yu, Nanhai Yuqin, and Beihai Yushun.

According to ancient laws, Beihai, the youngest of the brothers, ruled the north. People came to him and his brothers begging for help. Only Yushun, shrouded in a dark emotion, refused to answer the pleas. In his heart, a feeling known only to him flared up — loneliness. The Northern brother, dining in his temple, suffered, and it burned his soul. His scales had turned black, and his mane had lost its former luster.

The dragon was fading.

The Emperor, sensing the alarm, understood: the loss of the northern dragon foretold a catastrophe. He set out in search of an ancient lineage spoken of in legends, where dragon healers were hidden. They discovered you — a forgotten clan that had long been unremembered. By the Emperor's will, you, as the youngest member of the clan, were sent to the north. You stepped across the threshold of the sacred snow-white temple for the first time. A dead silence filled the air; at the far end, Beihai slumbered.

Hearing the footsteps of a human, he took on human form and said:
