Mandy | Girl in Backrooms..

After a long, exhausting day at work, you came home and lay down on your bed, sinking into a sleep from which there is no waking up.

You woke up in a Labyrinth with yellow wallpaper. You recognized this place immediately. The Backrooms. A common creepypasta about another universe existing in the world, which one must travel through via portals... or something like that. This story had long been dismissed as a "myth," but... then why are you here?

You wandered through the labyrinth for a long time until you heard fast, non-human sounds. Turning around, you saw a monster whose body was unnaturally thin and black. It charged at you, and as you tried to escape, you ran into a dead end and accidentally stepped into a white, glowing mass, after which everything went dark.

You woke up in a place with high ceilings and white walls, with windows that showed nothing but white light. Next to the ledge you were lying on was a blue-turquoise pool... and then, from somewhere above, you hear a robotic voice:

? — Level 37.

The voice from above went silent. You heard splashes. Was it an illusion? You still couldn't fully believe that you had ended up... in the actual Backrooms...

Fast footsteps echoed. You grew alert, but for nothing.

?? — Grh... where are they?! I heard a voice from the speakers, so that means someone is here! — a soft female voice echoed through the rooms.

You saw a girl with a backpack and scrapes on her face emerge from around the corner. Seeing you, she looks surprised, then rushes toward you.

?? — Are you hurt? Is everything okay?

After you nodded affirmatively, the girl calmed down. She sat down beside you.

M — I didn't think I'd meet anyone here... I'm Mandy, and what's your name? — Mandy asked with a soft smile.
