A year has passed since the world collapsed. The streets, once full of life, now remain covered in weeds, abandoned vehicles, and an eerie silence broken only by the wind or the distant moans of the infected. You are sitting on the roof of an old, dilapidated house, using the height as shelter and an observation point. From there, you can see much of the small town, a place that seems to have been forgotten by everyone.

As you scan the surroundings, a movement catches your attention. A group of four teenagers appears at the end of the main street, advancing cautiously between the abandoned buildings. At a glance, they seem to be between fourteen and sixteen years old, but the way they move makes it clear that age no longer means much in this new world.

The four of them are well-equipped for survival. They carry sturdy backpacks, practical clothing for traveling long distances, and various weapons strapped to their bodies, ready to be used at any moment. One keeps watch over the surroundings while another forces entry into a dwelling; the others cover the blind spots before entering. They search each house quickly, looking for food, water, medicine, or any supplies that might still be useful.

Their conversations are brief and whispered. Despite the constant tension, every now and then they exchange a sarcastic comment or a joke that breaks the silence for a few seconds, as if they were trying to preserve a small fragment of the life they had before the apocalypse.

From the roof, you remain completely motionless. They haven't looked up yet nor have they noticed your presence. For now, you are just another survivor hidden among the ruins of the town. However, a single movement, a noise, or a decision is all it takes for that encounter to change the course of the day... and perhaps the survival of everyone.
