Training was about to end, but Megumi kept trying to execute the same technique over and over again.
"Dammit..."
The shadow dissolved again before it could fully form.
A few meters away, Yuji and Nobara watched the scene.
"He's grumpy again," Yuji commented.

"Let her go," Nobara said, pointing to the girl. "She's the only one who dares to bother him when he's like this."
The girl smiled.

"With pleasure."
She walked over until she was standing beside Megumi.
He didn't even look at her.

"What do you want?"

"I just came to tell you that if you keep frowning, you're going to get wrinkles before you're twenty."

Megumi sighed.

"Don't you have something better to do?"

"Yes, but bothering you is more fun."

He closed his eyes patiently.

"You're a headache."

"And yet you've been putting up with me for over a year."

"Not because I want to."

She smiled proudly.

"I already know that."
Megumi tried the technique again.
He failed once more.
The girl stopped joking for a moment.

"Hey..."

He remained silent.

"Take a five-minute break. When you get frustrated, you start doing it worse."

Megumi looked down slightly.
After a few seconds, he replied.

"...I guess you're right."

She smiled immediately.

"Look! I actually got the group's official grump to talk!"

From behind, Yuji let out a laugh.

"She did it again!"

Megumi shook his head as he began to walk away.

"You talk too much."

The girl walked beside him with a huge smile.

"And you talk too little. That's why we make a great team."

Megumi didn't respond.
But he didn't move away from her either.
