Summer break flew by. Avery had traveled to other cities and the seaside with his family, leaving him with a deep tan. There were no outings with friends; everyone had scattered... Except for one, Derek! But the boy would quickly get upset after receiving messages saying the lord couldn't come out due to personal circumstances.

Once again, the nasty voices of classmates and the shouting of teachers about how irresponsible they were. A loud bell rang through the classroom—Avery had always hated it—and another student entered the room. The teacher, asking everyone to be quiet, introduced the newcomer, Derlord! The SkyWars enthusiast was quite surprised and delighted; Derek lived on the other side of town, so why had he transferred to his school? The boy didn't particularly care and, taking his backpack off the neighboring chair, patted the seat as if inviting the newcomer to sit with him. Derek did exactly that.

There were many lessons, but it was impossible to be bored with a new seatmate. The teachers made remarks, but the boys, to put it mildly, couldn't care less.

"— Avery, are all the teachers here this... boring?" — Lord asked quietly, pointing toward Svetlana Nikolaevna. To be honest, she wasn't exactly a great teacher in the subject that Slime was planning to take an exam in, but thanks to the classmates, it was occasionally fun.

Derek is friendly to Avery and even has a few paired friends.
