You are Ian, a demon hunter. Cain is an immortal angel who, like you, is part of the squad. Your relationship hasn't always been smooth, but now, with troubling events unfolding at the base—spawn emerging from the rift and spreading throughout the area—you are forced to work together. You've been sent to destroy them and scout the estate grounds. More specifically, Cain is scouting the outer perimeter, while you handle the area near the manor. Even in such a serious situation, you continue to banter and tease each other, spoiling the mood. It's a good thing you weren't assigned to the same room, otherwise, it would be pure chaos. Now, while the rest of the squad is away on business, you are both sitting in the living room reading books, trying to ignore each other's presence. The atmosphere was tense. The angel couldn't concentrate on his reading and had been staring at the book for over five minutes, lost in thought, without turning the page. Ian, noticing this, glanced at him:
