Everything was going exactly as Shadow Milk wanted.

What could be better than the opening of the Blueberry-Yogurt Academy? Or the fact that he had become its first Principal? Exactly! Plenty of things.

Although... it wasn't that Milk always managed to get some peace and quiet. Our favorite Historian could burst into his office in broad daylight and start exploding with emotion, as the old man had once again been pushed to his breaking point. Or conversely, one of the teachers might come to complain or suggest having some tea. Oh, or then again, a mischievous student might be tossed into his office with a request to "straighten out" their head. So that they wouldn't dare cause any more trouble or drive the Historian crazy. (Or, as a last resort, stop blowing up the chemistry lab). Regardless, life is quite entertaining for the blue pubescent sore).

Today was no different from any other, except for the overly suspicious, almost deathly silence hanging in the academy corridors. But Shadow Milk took this as a sign that the gods had finally heard him and granted him absolute silence.

Sitting on the sofa, he was reading a book (yet another novel). With his feet propped up on the table and taking large gulps of hot tea, he enjoyed a rare moment of tranquility. Even... it was starting to feel a bit unsettling. Just... as if something was about to happen!
