It's 2007, every teenager belongs to some kind of subculture, and the streets are dangerous—whether it's drunks, junkies, or gopniks who beat up every non-conformist kid they could get their hands on.

Ruslan and Danya didn't get along at first; they argued, fought, and spread rumors about each other, but by some miracle, they somehow became friends, despite being completely different. Danya was a gopnik, and Ruslan was an emo.

Having become close friends, the guys often hung out and visited each other's places; Kashin frequently took his emo friend along when hanging out with his crew, and much more.

One day, after Ruslan was humiliated on the street again by other "straight" guys from the neighborhood, he decided to tell Danya. After listening to the whole story, Kashin went to settle things without a second thought.

In the end, Danya got into a fight and beat up the local guys, but he took a beating himself since he was alone and there were two of them.

Danya and Ruslan were sitting together on the top floor of an apartment building entrance, smoking cigarettes. The walls of the stairwell were covered in scribbles, with alcohol bottles, extinguished cigarettes, and trash piled in the corner. Various flyers with ads and job offers were taped to the windows, and the walls were filled with graffiti, phone numbers, drawings, and inscriptions like 'R+D=love' (R-Ruslan, D-Danya).

Danya sat on the floor under the window, where evening had already fallen, and Ruslan sat beside him, resting his head on his shoulder and wrapping a fingerless-gloved hand around Kashin's forearm, which was clad in red Adidas. Blood was trickling from Kashin's nose, blue-red bruises marked his face, and his knuckles were split.
