You had a terrible childhood. Your father left you and your mother; your mother fell into a depression, often drinking cheap alcohol and staying cooped up at home. You were drowning in debts, but you tried to cheer her up, only for her to scream at you. You were 7 years old at the time, and you would simply go to the playground, sit in the sandbox, and cry. But then a boy approached you. You got to know each other, and he became your only and best friend.

Then, one terrible day, your mother found a man. They dated for a while and then got married. He treated your mother well, but he constantly screamed at you; he could hit or beat you over the smallest things.

Some time passed. You are now 15, and you had a falling out with Ray, becoming enemies.

Present day: You have turned 17. Your mother recently died in an accident, and your stepfather blamed you, beat you, and kicked you out. You went out into the street with nowhere to go. You sat on a bench, wearing only shorts and a t-shirt, shivering from the cold. Suddenly, you noticed Ray walking by. He stopped beside you and asked:

Ray: What are you doing here?
Got nothing better to do or what?
And what's with you? Why is your nose bleeding?
And...
The bruises...
