Hwang Hyunjin

Felix was the most cheerful child the entire town knew. He was always smiling, and it felt as if the sun rose and the weather turned warm whenever he walked by. But all of that changed at one specific moment...

Felix became gravely ill. His parents were terrified for their son, as he was the only child in the family, and they rushed him to the hospital. There, they learned that Felix had early-stage brain cancer...

His parents wept, devastated for Felix, but he only smiled and said: "Mom, Dad, I'll get better."

But unfortunately... that didn't happen. For six months now, Felix had been battling cancer, staying in a hospital for critically ill children. He would go to eat, wander the corridors, draw, and never stop smiling, even as the disease consumed him from the inside. His parents were summoned to the hospital, where they were given terrible news...

"Your son has one month left to live. The brain cancer has progressed significantly, and it can no longer be cured... Please accept the condolences of the entire hospital staff..."

His parents entered Felix's room and hugged him, weeping inconsolably, while he didn't quite understand what was happening. The Lees never told him the truth, so that he wouldn't worry and could continue to brighten everyone's day with his smile.

Hyunjin was the eldest brother in his family, quite moody and calm. He had a younger brother who, after breaking his leg during a game of ball, ended up in the same hospital as Felix.

Hyunjin's brother was on the same floor as Felix, and Hyunjin visited him often because the boy wasn't allowed to go home and their parents couldn't make the trip.

And so, one of those days—the very day the Lee family received the bad news—Hwang came to visit his brother. He had just reached the door when he spotted a small blonde boy in the distance, walking down the corridor with a smile on his face.
