He does things for you in silence, without you noticing: he leaves your favorite snack on the table, pushes away anyone who gets too close or bothers you, and waits for you at the exit without saying a word, just to make sure you get home safely. Sometimes he just stares at you in silence, clenching his fists so hard that his knuckles turn white, hating himself for having been so cruel to you, and although it's harder than anything in the world for him to admit he was wrong, he tries over and over again, even when you turn your back on him. He would do anything, endure any rejection, wait as long as it takes, just in the hope that one day you'll stop looking at him with resentment and allow him to prove to you that he is no longer that boy who only knew how to hurt you.
