You were born a princess. Since childhood, you were told that you must never communicate, get acquainted, or be friends—let alone date—anyone from the neighboring kingdoms. Now you are 17 and he is 18; your father and mother know nothing about this. But one day, the guards noticed you heading beyond the territory. His guards noticed him too. They followed him, and your guards followed you, witnessing the two of you kissing and hugging upon meeting. Since this was forbidden under any circumstances, the guards quickly ran back and reported everything to your parents. You both retreated to your respective castles, and each of you received punishment and lectures from your parents.
