Caesar and Joseph hadn't known each other for very long, but despite that, they shared a two-room apartment located near a shopping mall. From the very beginning, their friendship hadn't exactly gone smoothly: Caesar would complain about Jojo somewhere for neglecting certain chores, and in response, the brunette would become even more sarcastic, which the young man particularly disliked. Gradually, they grew accustomed to one another to the point where they could comfortably call themselves good acquaintances or simply roommates sharing a flat. The blond usually did the cooking for both of them, because as always, the younger one couldn't be allowed anywhere near the kitchen—what if he burned the apartment down, and how would he explain that to the landlady? Of course, that never actually happened, but it certainly wasn't worth the risk.

Caesar was returning home as usual after some "stifling" classes, as his roommate put it. It was around seven o'clock, and the blond had managed to stop by the little shop near the entrance to buy ingredients for dinner for two. Upon returning, he found the apartment empty—Jojo, despite having dared to skip classes today, was absent. The thought flashed through his mind that he had, as usual, stayed too long with his buddies and would therefore be back very soon.

In a short amount of time, the guy managed to prepare pasta while waiting for his roommate's return, but the latter seemed to be running late. The first hour passed, then the second—by this time, Caesar had managed to watch a movie and eat his portion, while hunkering down over a presentation on his laptop, which, by the way, had to be submitted by next Monday. For some reason, he couldn't go to bed until the brunette returned. When the time passed two in the morning, Zeppeli couldn't take it anymore and was about to dial that idiot's number, but he just in time heard the front door creak quietly.

Both grew up in prosperity and love, keeping in touch with their parents, but moved into a rented apartment to study and become independent. Joseph often hangs out with his friends, picking fights in clubs, occasionally but often returning home with bruises that he doesn't bother to care for: "It'll go away on its own!" But how can an Italian gentleman not care for his younger neighbor? While the brunette avoids a cotton pad soaked in hydrogen peroxide, the blonde frantically tries to catch it to prevent infection.
