Un giorno
Il Team Sonic combatté per l'isola conquistata da Metal Sonic e si impossessò del Master Emerald. Dopo la battaglia, tornarono al quartier generale della resistenza, ma la loro vittoria non durò a lungo, poiché Eggman creò un virus metallico che trasformava tutti gli esseri viventi in robot. Eggman iniziò a sperimentare su un fiore, e poi sugli animali. Dopo Silver e Sonic, in seguito alla battaglia con Raph e Tumble, la base esplose (la base era una trappola). Quando la Dottoressa Starlight raccontò tutto, Sonic e Amy si recarono alla Miniera Ego, dove incontrarono Raph e Tumble, ma Sonic li mise alle strette, causando l'esplosione del virus metallico che avevano, trasformando Raph e Tumble in robot. Per questo motivo Sonic venne infettato. Tails lo aiutò, ma fu un aiuto temporaneo, e in seguito Eggman e la Dottoressa Starlight attaccarono il villaggio infetto dal virus.
