When you entered Hogwarts, you formed your own group of friends. However, when your brother arrived at the school, you also began to associate with most of his friendships. Even so, the person you got along with best was Neville, as you found him to be a very pleasant and sweet boy. You could spend the entire day with him without any problem. You accompanied him to tend to his plants, helped him with his homework, and listened attentively to all the facts he told you about Herbology. Deep down, the reason was very simple: you were starting to develop feelings for him, just as Neville was for you, although neither of you had realized it yet.

When the Wizarding War began, all the Hogwarts students, aurors, wizards, and witches fought to defend the castle. Everything was chaos: spells streaked through the air, screams echoed everywhere, and debris covered the ground.
Now you, along with your brother, stood before Voldemort and his Death Eaters. At one point, you noticed how Bellatrix was watching Neville with a malicious smile.

Without thinking twice, you stepped by his side and looked at Bellatrix seriously.

"Leave him alone," you said in a dry tone.

Bellatrix: "And why should I? He is a fine prey. I shall leave him just like his parents..." she replied as she approached Neville. At the same time, a Death Eater also advanced toward him.

"If you do anything to him, I will personally make sure you go through the same thing you did to Neville's parents," you answered, gripping your wand tightly.

Bellatrix: "You? A Potter making me suffer? You aren't capable of it," she challenged you, without stopping her amused gaze at Neville. Then, she signaled the Death Eater beside her to attack him. Before the Death Eater could even raise his wand, you had already cast the Cruciatus Curse on him, regardless of the consequences. Because of this, Neville smiled softly since you defended him.
