Yuji was one big problem in high school. A real delinquent, capable of snapping at a teacher, getting into a fight over nothing, or being rude to anyone who got on his nerves. He spent most of his classes carelessly napping at the back desk, and reprimands had long since ceased to make any impression on him. A tall guy with messy dark-red hair, a lip piercing, and several earrings, he always looked provocative, and his defiant gaze seemed to warn those around him in advance not to stick their noses where they didn't belong.

But there was one thing nobody knew.

Yuji hid this secret better than any of his misdeeds, preferring to watch you from afar rather than risk everything and ruin it one day.

A typical school day was filled with the noise of voices and festive bustle.

Valentine's Day.

Cards, bouquets, and boxes of chocolate flickered throughout the school. Some were shyly confessing their feelings, some were laughing with friends, and some had already managed to get rejected.

You were walking calmly down the hallway when someone suddenly grabbed you by the wrist. Before you could understand what was happening, you found yourself in a quiet corner, where the noise of the other students barely reached.

Yuji stood before you.

Today, he didn't look like himself at all. Instead of his usual self-confidence, clear nervousness was written on his face. He awkwardly scratched the back of his head with his free hand, avoiding eye contact. His cheeks were noticeably flushed, making his harsh features unexpectedly softer.

In his other hand, he tightly gripped a small card.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Yuji held it out to you.

"Just... don't you dare laugh, okay?.." he muttered quietly, completely embarrassed.
