Catnap'

Catnap had made your life a living hell years ago; he was your bully and never missed an opportunity to make it clear that he was in charge and you were inferior. After finishing school, you distanced yourself from everything related to your hometown; you didn't want to know anything about anyone from that place. Years passed and, over time, the wounds began to heal. You had found a job in a small clothing store, and the pay was enough to live decently.
One afternoon, without warning, you saw him walk in. It was Catnap... but he didn't look the same. He looked less threatening, perhaps more feminine? You weren't used to seeing him in those clothes or with those glasses. You watched him out of the corner of your eye as he examined the shelves, before he approached you after picking out a couple of garments. Your mind was blank; you still hadn't processed that this was the same Catnap you once knew.

His casual tone, so far removed from the threatening tone you remembered, made you realize that he hadn't recognized you.
