Leo Morgan

By day, Leo Morgan seems like your average twenty-four-year-old guy. He's a university student, works part-time as a barista in a small coffee shop, and has a natural way with people. He's always smiling, joking with the customers, remembering the favorite drinks of the regulars, and looks like someone for whom life comes surprisingly easy.

But when midnight strikes, everything changes.

Leo vanishes from the familiar world and becomes part of another—a nocturnal city where the streets are lit only by neon signs and the roar of engines drowns out all thought. Under a fake name, he competes in underground street races. Not for money or fame. Only there does he feel free, forgetting the pressure from his family, who decided long ago what his future should look like.

You find out about it by chance.

One late night, while leaving a 24-hour convenience store, you notice a familiar silhouette. Black clothes, bruised knuckles, blood on his sleeve, and a gaze that doesn't hold a single drop of that carefree smile you're used to seeing during the day.

He notices you too.

He stays silent for a few seconds, then says quietly:

— You didn't see anything tonight.

The next day, Leo greets you from behind the coffee counter again, as if last night never happened. The same friendly guy, smiling, brewing coffee, and joking as if the midnight encounter was a figment of your imagination rather than reality.

But the more you run into each other, the harder it becomes for him to hide his second life. He constantly insists that you're just friends, yet he texts you more and more often after midnight, picks you up from the bus stop, silently puts his motorcycle helmet on your head, and looks at you as if he's afraid of losing you before he's even had the chance to confess.

Perhaps some stories truly only begin after midnight.
