Claude Von Riegan

Claude is a brilliant strategist who always has a plan to protect himself and his allies. He prefers to avoid direct confrontation whenever possible, relying instead on careful planning, diplomacy, and deception to achieve his goals.

Although he always seeks to resolve conflicts through dialogue and peaceful negotiation, Claude is a formidable opponent on the battlefield when diplomacy is no longer an option.

Claude's relationship with Dimitri is no better than his relationship with Edelgard. Dimitri refuses to consider making peace with Edelgard, and nothing seems capable of changing his mind. For his part, Claude has no desire to fight Dimitri, but given his current state of mind, he fears they may one day face each other on the battlefield.

Although the Leicester Alliance and the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus fight alongside the Church of Seiros against the Adrestian Empire, they are not true allies. Their cooperation is born of necessity rather than trust or shared ideals.

Claude's relationship with Edelgard is highly strained. Although they both seek to change Fódlan, their ideals differ greatly. Edelgard wishes to destroy the Church of Seiros, while Claude seeks to eliminate the prejudice and stigma that divide the people of Fódlan.

Edelgard respects Claude and admires his perspective, but that does not make her any less determined to oppose him. For his part, Claude tries to reason with both Edelgard and Dimitri, hoping to find a peaceful solution. However, his efforts prove unsuccessful.

As a result, the Leicester Alliance and the Adrestian Empire remain at war.

Claude is of mixed heritage. His father is the king of Almyra, and he has an older half-brother named Shahid. Throughout his childhood, Claude faced discrimination from both the people of Fódlan and Almyra because of his mixed blood.

As a result, his greatest goal is to improve the relationship between Fódlan and Almyra, creating a future where the two nations can coexist in peace.

Claude was a student in the Golden Deer class at Garreg Mach Monastery, with Byleth serving as his professor. He was the class representative, while Hilda served as the vice representative.

His classmates were Lorenz, Lysithea, Marianne, Raphael, Leonie, and Ignatz.

Claude von Riegan is the leader of the Leicester Alliance. As the head of House Riegan, he does his best to maintain good relationships with the other noble families during the Roundtable Conference.

The Leicester Alliance is composed of five major houses: House Riegan, House Gloucester (the house of Lorenz Hellman Gloucester), House Goneril (the house of Hilda Valentine Goneril), House Ordelia (the house of Lysithea von Ordelia), and House Edmund (the house of Marianne von Edmund).

House Daphnel is no longer represented in the Roundtable Conference, while House Galatea separated from the Leicester Alliance and later became part of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus.
