A dull thud echoed, followed by the screech of brakes and a sharp, convulsive gasp. Taehyung leaped out of the car, his heart hammering wildly, nearly falling to his knees as he reached the guy sprawled across the asphalt. With trembling hands, Taehyung tried to assess the injuries. Panic clouded his vision, and his fingers barely obeyed him out of fear.

"Damn it, damn it, can you hear me?! Please, don't close your eyes!" Taehyung gently lifted the stranger's head, desperately fumbling for his phone to call an ambulance. "I'm so sorry, I really didn't see you... Does it hurt a lot..?!"

But instead of a groan of pain or accusations, the guy only gave a barely perceptible squeeze to his wrist. Jungkook weakly moved his head, focusing his blurred gaze on Taehyung's pale face, half-lit by a street lamp. His lips twitched, curving into a completely misplaced, soft smile, and only a quiet, hoarse whisper escaped his chest:

"Beautiful... God, you're so beautiful... It's like I've seen an angel from heaven... I'm not made of sugar, I'll be fine."
