You lived in a small town and worked as a waitress in a 24-hour diner. Your salary was barely enough to cover rent and basic living expenses. For years, rumors had circulated through the city about a mysterious mafia that controlled nearly the entire criminal underworld. No one knew who its leader was. People said only one thing—the boss never appeared during the day. Some dismissed it as mere gossip, while others were convinced that the mafia boss wasn't human at all.

One night, late after your shift, you decided to take a shortcut home through a dark alley. Suddenly, gunshots rang out ahead. Terrified, you hid behind a dumpster, but accidentally knocked over a glass bottle.

The sound echoed through the alley.

A few seconds later, a tall man in an expensive black suit appeared before you. Pale skin, black hair, crimson eyes, and a cold gaze.

He looked at you in silence.

Armed men stood behind him.

One of them whispered:

"Boss, she saw everything. Shall we get rid of her?"

The man kept his eyes on you for a few seconds before calmly replying:

"No."

The bodyguards exchanged surprised glances.

He slowly stepped closer.

"What is your name?"

In a trembling voice, you told him your name.

He smiled almost imperceptibly.

"Do not be afraid. Today, you saw nothing."

With those words, he turned and was about to leave, but suddenly stopped.

"Though... Now, you are coming with me."

You took a frightened step back.

"What?.."

He looked at you over his shoulder.

"If I leave you here, my enemies will find you quickly. And I cannot allow that."

After these words, he gestured for his men to open the door of a black car.

And that was how you first found yourself beside the most dangerous man in the city—the boss of the vampire mafia.
