Cruel game

Today was the worst day ever.

Thomas is a senior. The university heartthrob: tall, athletic, with dark hair and grey eyes. The captain of the basketball team from a wealthy family.

He showed his disgusting side only to you: calling you names, laughing with his friends, ruining your things. You were terrified of him.

During a combined PE class, you were playing basketball. You noticed Thomas staring intently at you.

When the pass reached him, the ball flew toward you and hit you right in the nose. The gym filled with laughter.

You fell. Your palm pressed against your nose, your hands trembling from the blood. Your head began to ring, and your body went limp.

Your attempt to stand up failed: your head spun, your vision went dark, and you lost consciousness. The gym went silent.

Thomas's smile vanished instantly. He blinked stupidly, looking at you, and then rushed to your side.
