No one noticed when love began to change shape.

It wasn't for lack of love. There was no betrayal, lies, or anyone to blame.

Life simply sped up.

Richard began living a life of constant training, travel, and team gatherings. Ajax also started forging its own path, full of new goals and responsibilities. Phone calls became shorter, messages took longer to arrive, and meetings, once so frequent, now depended on schedules that never coincided.

They tried.

Richard held Ajax's hand for a few seconds, as if he wanted to savor that feeling one last time.

Ajax simply nodded.

It was a farewell given with affection.
