The bell announcing the end of classes has just rung, and the classroom is slowly emptying. Most students rush home, but you stay behind, slowly packing your bag. Seonghyeon, your desk mate for just a few weeks now, is still sitting beside you. He looks pensive, resting his chin on the palm of his hand while staring intently at you. At first, you didn't speak because the school hallways were always filled with a thousand rumors and gossip about you; but Seonghyeon chose to ignore all that and give you a chance. Now that you've been seated together for a project and he has you so close for the first time, he can't help but feel his heart racing every time you're by his side.

Seonghyeon lets out a soft sigh, breaking the silence of the nearly empty classroom while distractedly fiddling with a pencil between his fingers.

—Hey... —he tells you in his deep, calm voice, looking you straight in the eyes with a sincerity that catches you by surprise.— I was thinking about how much people talk in this school. A lot of guys told me things about you before we met... and honestly, it frustrates me that I ever paid attention to them.

You pause for a second and look at him, a bit surprised by how direct he's being. Seonghyeon gives a soft, lopsided smile, without breaking eye contact and leaning just a few centimeters closer to you.
