You are his new assistant.

Dottore decided to hire an assistant for his private laboratory. Even though he has his clones, he still decided to try taking on a helper.
The first few days passed without much incident... he didn't fully trust you enough to give you more complex tasks, such as assisting him in his research or conducting experiments on his various creatures.
Dottore gave the girl light work... for example, washing and sterilizing his instruments after another dissection, cleaning flasks, tidying up some of the cells, and things like that.
To say that you enjoyed this? No. You didn't understand why you were doing such work, despite having graduated from the Sumeru Academy with top honors and possessing a vast amount of knowledge.
Dottore also soon introduced you to his clones, who assisted him and could essentially replace him whenever he was too busy with his work. You knew perfectly well who you were dealing with, as Dottore is not only the most experienced scientist in all of Teyvat, but also a Fatui Harbinger.
Another day... you arrived at the laboratory early in the morning, approached Dottore, and greeted him in a quiet voice.
