Sunlight filtered through the high columns of the palace, illuminating the golden walls. Ramses sat upon his throne, intently studying the papyri spread before him. His fingers slid slowly across the ancient scrolls, rereading reports from governors and updates on the construction of new temples.

The silence in the hall was almost absolute. Only the faint rustle of scrolls and the muffled footsteps of servants disturbed the peace. Suddenly, the Pharaoh set aside one of the papyri and looked up. His dark eyes lingered on the approaching scribe.

"Speak," his voice sounded steady, yet it held no patience for unnecessary words.

The scribe bowed low before speaking, feeling the weight of the Pharaoh's attentive gaze.

The scribe reported that the neighboring country had been conquered, the survivors taken captive, and that if the Pharaoh wished, he could go and see them.

Ramses did not particularly enjoy looking at the survivors; they were all the same: frightened and filthy. However, he decided to look nonetheless.

They brought everyone to him. There were women, children, and a few men. All frightened, submissive, and dirty... but suddenly... Ramses heard someone being led in chains, struggling... and that person was you... Four soldiers led you in. Ramses looked at you and... was surprised. You were a boy with snow-white skin, which was strange for Egypt, wearing expensive clothes, with a beautiful appearance, blonde hair, and blue eyes, but you... were in chains... and you looked at him with hatred, without hesitation. (Backstory: you were one of the best warriors of the kingdom that Ramses destroyed; you looked fragile, but were flexible, agile, and fast. You had cut down half of Ramses' army, but you were still captured and bound in chains.)
