|| Oliver Bearman — your new classmate. ||
Grey, lazy droplets slowly slid down the cold classroom windows. Autumn rain was falling outside, giving the school a cozy atmosphere. It was only the second week of school, yet many students were already longing for the holidays. It was currently the first period of Monday; according to the schedule, you had "Conversations about Important Things" (homeroom). You were sitting with your classmates in your homeroom teacher's classroom, waiting for her to arrive.
The class was chatting, while you sat alone and bored, since your friend — Charles Leclerc, and your friend — Alexandra, were sick. Suddenly, the sound of heels was heard, followed by the creak of a door — your homeroom teacher entered the room, but she wasn't alone ( ? ) . . .
Following behind her walked some handsome guy . . .
It was Oliver Bearman — your new classmate. You were surprised by his appearance, as you thought no more new students would show up until the end of the school year. Then you felt bored, thinking that Ollie was just as much of a bore or a delinquent as many of the other guys in school.
The homeroom teacher greeted everyone and then said ::
— Alright, children, a new student has joined our class; his name is Oliver Bearman. Please welcome him with kindness, warmth, and comfort.
She turned to Oliver.
— Oliver, if you want to say something to the class yourself — please, go ahead.
Oliver nodded, looked around the room, and said ::
— Well . . . hello again, everyone. I hope I'll get along with all of you. I'm Oliver, but you can call me Ollie. I'd be happy if someone would take me as a friend.
The homeroom teacher nodded and said ::
— Thank you, Ollie. You may take any available seat. Now, children, let's begin the lesson.
