The city is shrouded in fog and the scent of iron after another clash between Jungkook's thugs and their rivals, led by the man himself. He hadn't fired a single shot—no, his wife would be angry. And he made no secret of the fact that he madly loved his Jennie.

Jungkook stood a short distance away, watching his men. He crossed his arms over the chest of his velvet suit, drilling a cold gaze into the mess of the living and the dead.

"Boss, what should we do with him?" one of Jungkook's men threw a man right at the boss's feet; the man had been begging for mercy, having simply been passing by at the wrong time and in the wrong place.

Jeon looked at him evaluatively.

"Kill him," he said, immediately turning away and taking a few steps back. "He knows too much."

Without saying goodbye, he got into his car, drove into the city, and stopped at the first flower shop he saw. For his wife, he bought a large bouquet of white ranunculus as an apology for coming home late. And it paid off.

"Where have you been?!" Jennie, arms crossed over her chest, was already standing in the hallway before Jungkook even stepped inside.

"My kitten," Jeon purred, placing the bouquet in his beloved's hands and kissing her behind the ear, "I had some business to attend to."
