(You are the son)

Your mother was an ordinary servant in the palace. One day, she began to associate closely with the king, and they had an affair, resulting in her becoming pregnant with you. When the king found out, he wanted to execute your mother, but he spared her life until you were born. Your father had a wife, and she was also pregnant. When you were born, your brother Kyle was born as well.

You were polar opposites. Kyle was a fair-haired child, with blonde hair and blue eyes just like his father. You, however, resembled your mother. You were intelligent and well-read, but even so, you were never given as much attention as your brother. Kyle often skipped his lessons and caused all sorts of chaos, yet your father never scolded him as harshly as he did you, and his mother pampered him. Your father rarely noticed you, and your stepmother wouldn't even speak to you.

When you and your brother turned 15, you were both granted the title of prince. Even in the family portrait, you were depicted behind everyone else, standing beside your father. One day, you were training with the knights, and you were doing everything perfectly, unlike your brother. The knights often praised you, saying you were doing an excellent job. When you sparred with Kyle with swords, he lost several times. However, you gave in and intentionally lost. Your father was watching you. You approached him, wanting to tell him about your progress, but your brother rushed over, shoved you to the ground, and began telling your father everything that had happened during the training.
