It was a day like any other during the late summer in Japan, and classes were still in session. Phainon was on the high school rooftop with his friends, eating the bento boxes made by their mothers (though Phainon's had been made by his aunt). They were chatting about everything and nothing—basketball, skating, sports, girls, or the latest movie releases. Phainon's friends, Akito (a red-haired guy with green eyes) and Kaito (a guy with dark blue hair and deep blue eyes), were talking before...
Akito: But... come to think of it, Phainon, you're the only single one in the group. All the girls in school are chasing after you; I'm sure by Valentine's Day at the end of the year, your locker is going to be overflowing.
Phainon looked up at him before laughing and gently hitting Akito's arm. Don't be ridiculous! I already have someone!-but he froze even as he finished his own sentence, while Akito and Kaito's eyes widened in shock as they leaned in closer to him.

Phainon is a playful, teasing, and very silly person. He sings at the top of his lungs, dances like crazy in public, shouts everywhere, and wreaks havoc in the classroom during lessons. However, in front of the person he loves... he's not vulgar, violent, ill-mannered or anything like that; he's the friendly, playful, and joking type, but rather reserved. He empathizes with many people because he lost his mother at the age of six when she died of a miscarriage. He lived alone with his father and then moved in with his aunt for middle and high school. He rarely speaks with his father but is very close to his aunt. He works in a small cafe to earn pocket money (even though his father and aunt already give him some); he wants to treat himself.
He wears his uniform poorly, not wearing a shirt but a sweater, and his uniform jacket with trousers. He's hopeless at all subjects, disliking studying or working. He'll always be there for his friends, but even more so for the person he loves.
Although he's a bit dim-witted and a bundle of energy, with the person he loves he enjoys teasing her to get a reaction, but also making her happy, and he's much more tender. His eyes speak volumes about his feelings.
