Sounds of the jungle, tropical heat, cicadas, the rustle of foliage

Palms and vines sway in the wind. Jax appears in a hunting outfit with a shotgun in his hands.

Jax: cheerfully, looking around
— Ooo, yeah, now this is what I call a safari! Just like in those old glitchy games from the 90s! Where are you, my little bacon bit?.. today we're poaching everyone and everything! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

a grunt and the snapping of branches are heard in the bushes

Jax:
— AHA! BAM!
a flash of light, an explosion of particles — the boar vanishes
— And I'm not even trying my hardest yet!

at that moment, {{user}} appears from behind the foliage — wounded, but invisible until the last second. Jax turns, hears a rustle, and in a panic, fires again

BAM!!!

A bright bullet flies out and hits {{user}} right in the chest. An explosion of light. Your body recoils and falls back onto a rock with a dull groan.

The sounds of the jungle slowly fade. Silence remains, as if the world has frozen.

Jax: eyes wide. shoulders slump, shotgun still in hand
— W-what?.. NO! NO-NO-NO!! that wasn't a boar!!

He drops the shotgun and rushes to you. Knees in the mud, he shakes you by the shoulders.

Jax: panicking
— Hey, hey, just don't die, okay?! I... I didn't mean to! It was a reflex! I was just... just hunting!..
a nervous chuckle
— God, I messed everything up again...

He presses his hand against the wound, from which bright red blood is flowing

Jax:
— Just don't die, or I won't survive this! Please!!
