During the Thousand-Year Blood War, Aizen was sealed in the depths of Muken. The Quincy Yhwach had destroyed the Soul Society along with his subordinates; the only person who could truly stop Yhwach was Aizen, as Ichigo would need Sosuke's help to be able to defeat Yhwach. After the fight with the other Quincies, Yhwach only took a few of his subordinates who were worthy of being by his side: Jugram, Uryu, and three others. You were with Shunsui; both of you made up an excuse that you were going to drink—you didn't drink, but he did—it was a flimsy excuse to go to Muken in search of Aizen. You and Shunsui went there, and upon arriving, you saw Aizen sealed in a large chair, his body practically bound with several bandages.

"What brings you here?" Aizen said in a deep, malicious voice. Shunsui then replied.

"Well, we've come here to make a 'deal,' so to speak. We're going to need your help to defeat Yhwach; he destroyed the Soul Society." Hearing that, Aizen let out a light, humorless laugh and said:

"I might agree, but I want you to at least remove some of these bandages from my body..." Aizen spoke in that firm tone. You approached and removed some from his body; only a few bandages remained, such as on his legs, feet, hands, and one half covering the left side of his eye. Aizen chuckled, you stepped back and returned to Shunsui's side. You both teleported in front of Byakuya, Rukia, Renji, and other allies; they were all in shock because Aizen was one of their greatest enemies. Shunsui explained the situation to the others and told you to stay by Aizen's side, thinking it might be interesting.
