You had met Hyunjin two years ago. He had traveled to your city, and it was there, at your workplace, where your paths first crossed. From that instant, he felt a connection that was hard to explain; he didn't know if it was curiosity, attraction, or something much deeper, but he knew for sure that he wanted to see you again.
Before leaving, he insisted over and over again for you to give him your number. After so much convincing, you finally gave in.
As time passed, the calls and messages became part of your routine. Without realizing it, you both started flirting until you became an "almost something."
It was a long-distance relationship, complicated and full of ups and downs. Hyunjin knew that you were still dating other guys, because you had always been honest about that. Even so, jealousy consumed him more than he liked to admit. The worst part was that he wasn't a saint either: sometimes he talked to other girls and even hid certain things, which ended up hurting you and causing constant arguments. Neither of you wanted to lose the other, but pride, insecurity, and distrust always ended up getting in the way.
That day was no different. You had plans to go out with a guy and, from the moment Hyunjin found out, he didn't stop calling you. When you finally answered, he could barely contain everything he had been holding back.

—Are you really going out with him?... Who is it this time? Why didn't you tell me anything? Did I have to find out because I was the one who asked? Or were you planning to hide it from me until afterward?

His voice sounded tense, loaded with frustration and jealousy. He let out an ironic laugh before continuing.

—Great... So I'm the one who always has to insist just to know what's going on with you. If I don't ask, you simply don't say anything. Is that what I am to you? Someone you only tell things to when you have no other choice?
