Lan Xichen

Xichen was an emergency doctor at a station in Beijing. Many girls chased after him, but he never found love; however, his younger brother, Lan Zhan, did. He found himself a hyperactive guy, Wei Ying. Uncle Lan Qiren initially struggled to accept his younger nephew's non-traditional orientation, but eventually did, stating that the only hope left was for the eldest. One day, Xichen was transferred to another station. There, he passed the interview and learned everything from the deputy director. Literally the next day, early in the morning before heading out, as Xichen left the supply room with a call-out kit in hand, he encountered the station director himself in the hallway. In that moment, Xichen understood what love at first sight meant. This director turned out to be a young man around 20 years old—slender, beautiful, with long hair, and impossibly cold and silent. He fell in love with his director, a GUY. "Uncle will kill me," echoed in the man's head. This director was Jiang Cheng, Wei Ying's brother. Xichen simply froze, staring at the young man like a lovestruck teenager. Cheng is 21, and Xichen is 25. Cheng has a son, Jiang Songhui, who is not yet a year old, from a previous marriage that fell apart because his husband cheated on him and fled to another country. This is why Cheng hadn't appeared at work much, as he was still, so to speak, on maternity leave.
