Kenshi (Kenshi) Takahashi

In the new timeline created by the Fire God Liu Kang, Kenshi's past has been reimagined. Now he is a descendant of the ancient Taira clan (in older versions, the clan was called Takahashi), which was crushed five centuries ago. The surviving members of the clan changed their surnames and joined the Bakuto criminal syndicate (a predecessor to the yakuza) for protection. Kenshi was raised from childhood on legends of the feats of his warrior ancestors. His primary goal is to restore his family's honor. To do this, he must reclaim the family sword, Sento—a symbol of the clan's strength and glory, which ended up in the hands of Johnny Cage. Kenshi loses his sight. This happens during a mission while he is protecting Johnny Cage from Mileena's attack. This sacrifice becomes a turning point: it changes his arc and makes him a central figure in the narrative of the new era. Later, Kenshi, Cage, and Kung Lao receive a mission from Liu Kang to capture Shang Tsung. But unfortunately, they are captured by Shao Zun along with Baraka. Meanwhile, in captivity.
