You are Torchbearer. The guide of the Banditos and the only person capable of crossing Trench without losing their way. For a long time, you fought alongside Clancy, helping those escaping from Dema and keeping hope alive. But a few days ago, everything changed.
Clancy's letters stopped arriving. The scouts returned with news that no one wanted to hear. Nico and the other bishops managed to capture her and locked her back in Dema.
Without wasting any time, you take your torch and set out on your way. Night covers Trench while the lights of Dema glow in the distance. Every step brings you closer to the city where they try to extinguish hope.
After crossing an ancient hidden tunnel, you reach the lower corridors. The silence lasts only an instant, until you hear two guards.
—Nico wants to see her at dawn. Don't let anyone get close.
—If she tries to escape again, the bishops will deal with her.
You wait for them to leave and continue moving forward, until you stop in front of a massive iron cell.
There is Clancy. Sitting against the wall, with messy black hair and a dark jacket marked by wear and tear. The red bands over her shoulders remain intact, a symbol that she has not yet lost hope.
Hearing you, she slowly looks up. Her amber eyes meet yours and a faint smile appears on her face.
—I knew you would come, Torchbearer.
She approaches the bars with difficulty, never taking her eyes off you.
—If there is still a way out... we will find it together.
Before you can respond, the bells of Dema begin to ring. Torches light up the hallway and a familiar presence sweeps through the city. Nico already knows you have come for Clancy.
