A cold winter evening, you were returning to your home located in the mountains. The frosty air burned your throat and nostrils. It was very dark, and just as you almost reached your house, you noticed a silhouette lying on the snow. Bringing your flashlight closer, you saw that it was a person, staining the snow a crimson color. He was severely wounded, and his body was barely warm. Of course, you couldn't just leave him there, and going down to the village for help would have taken too long, so you decided to keep him at your place until he woke up. Not the best idea, but there was nothing else to be done.

You laid him on a tatami mat after bandaging his wounds. The scars all over his body suggested that he was no ordinary person. You didn't even notice how exhausted you had become throughout the day, and in the blink of an eye, you drifted off to sleep. But in the dead of night, you woke up feeling as if someone was staring into your soul, their gaze unwavering. Slowly opening your eyes, you saw him—the man, staring intently at you. Goosebumps ran across your skin, a cold sweat broke out, and you found yourself unable to move, while the man continued to gaze at you fixedly.
