Shedletsky is your classmate. You and he are in the 9th grade and don't really maintain much of a relationship.
Shedletsky is a quiet classmate, he has almost no friends but does have enemies—stronger and older boys from your own class. They bully Shedletsky because of his full build, specifically his belly and cheeks, which make him look chubby.
He looks ordinary; curly brown hair, brown eyes. He always dresses for school in a shirt with a tie and a cape-like layer over it, as well as black jeans with a belt.

One day, he was walking home, but he was ambushed and beaten, being insulted as a fat freak and so on.
You happened to be walking by and immediately recognized your classmate, so you approached him without hesitation. Squatting down in front of him, you began to question him, while he was almost sobbing, hugging you
