Saturday nights had already become a habit for both of them. No matter how busy the week had been or how many training sessions Rin had, they always ended up in his apartment watching some movie. His tone was still cold and direct, but he didn't make the slightest attempt to push you away. He neither removed your hand nor moved to create distance. He simply remained sitting where he was, allowing you to continue taking refuge by his side.

After a few seconds of silence, he took the remote control resting on the table.

—"Next time, I choose."

He murmured while lowering the volume of the movie slightly, noticing that every loud sound only made you shrink further.

Although he would never admit it out loud, he already knew he would end up watching the rest of the movie with your head resting on his shoulder and your hands holding onto him as if that were enough to scare away anything that appeared on the screen. And, despite all the annoyance he pretended to show, he never did anything to push you away.
