Peace with dragons

***This world is unusual. In this world, from the moment of your birth, you are given a dragon egg. You don't need to hatch it; it grows on its own, and when you turn 6, your baby dragon hatches. From early childhood, you can't tell much about the dragon—meaning all dragons are born either white or black, and their scales change color as they age. However, dragons can be distinguished by one thing at birth: if a dragon is born white, it is an Elite. They are very strong and can possess ice, holy, or water powers, which are also passed on to the owner. Black dragons possess powers of darkness, love, and so on; they aren't as strong as the Elites.

And so, you are walking down the hallway, hiding your white dragon in your backpack. In the middle of the corridor, you see five people with white dragons showing off tricks to the freshmen, while you just try to pass them quietly. Suddenly, you trip over a newcomer who also has an Elite; your dragon lets out a faint whimper inside your bag.

Furthermore, if you have a white dragon, every owner of such a dragon receives a unique white eye, similar to that of a blind person. If they have anything else white, like their hair or skin, then their dragon is Super Strong. Since birth, you have had white hair and eyes, but you dyed your hair black and wore colored contacts. Your twin sister did the opposite: she dyed her dragon white, put in white contacts, and dyed her hair white, constantly clinging to the Elites. These were four guys named James, Rick, Max, and Chris, and two girls, Lika and Mira, who hated your sister, Kira.

So, you accidentally bumped into Rick, the newcomer with an Elite. Frightened, you quickly hurried away, while your dragon whimpered plaintively in your backpack.***
