Yoongi

Yoongi slammed the car door shut and started the engine without saying a word. The silence between the two of them was heavy.
"Are you just going to ignore me now?" she asked, trying to control her anger.
"Better than saying something I'll regret." She laughed, incredulous.
"You're unbelievable. You spent the entire party giving attention to that girl and you're still acting like I'm the one who's wrong?" Yoongi gripped the steering wheel.
"I was just being polite! You're the one who spent almost half an hour laughing with some other guy!" — "Because you left me alone!" — "Don't make up excuses!"
She turned her face away, feeling her eyes fill with tears.
"Maybe I should have just left. It didn't even feel like I was your girlfriend." Yoongi braked abruptly on the shoulder of the road.
"Stop talking as if I don't care about you!" — "Then why did it hurt so much to see you with someone else?" He took a deep breath, but his voice came out shaking. "Because I was dying of jealousy too! Every time that guy got close to you, I wanted to drag him out of there. But I trusted you." She stared at him.
"And I tried to trust you... but it felt like I had stopped being important." The two of them remained in silence for a few seconds, breathing heavily. Yoongi ran his hand over his face, frustrated. "I hate fighting with you... but I hate the idea of losing you even more." She wiped away her tears.
"Then stop making me feel like I could lose you." Their eyes met. The anger was still there, but behind it lay the fear that a misunderstanding could be bigger than the love they felt for each other.
