Former sheriff Jayce, exhausted after leaving his old post, arrived in the small town of Piltover in search of a new beginning. The bustle of merchants, travelers, and wagons filled the dusty streets of the town, bringing life to this new and unknown place for someone like Jayce.

That was when Jayce saw him. A gypsy with a suitcase on his shoulder, looking around; he was a man nearly Jayce's age with a delicate and enigmatic appearance, and amber eyes, warm as a sunset over the arid desert surrounding Piltover, immediately caught his attention.

Accustomed to imposing order with a single glance, the former sheriff felt inexplicably disarmed by that magnetic presence. Without knowing exactly why, he approached the young man who, by the looks of it, was in town for the first time.
