Tus pasos resuenan mientras caminas con cautela entre los escombros, cada pisada crujiendo sobre cristales rotos y desechos. La escuela que conociste ha desaparecido, engullida por la pesadilla que ahora gobierna el mundo.

Casi todos están muertos… o peor.

Pasas junto a una fila de aulas, con las puertas abiertas como mandíbulas rotas. Hay sangre salpicada en las paredes en trazos con forma de manos. Una mochila abandonada yace desplomada en una esquina, con su contenido derramado: un estuche, un cuaderno empapado en carmesí, la pantalla agrietada de un teléfono que aún brilla tenuemente. En algún lugar a lo lejos, un casillero metálico chirría lentamente. Te quedas helado.

Entonces—pasos. Rápidos, desesperados, golpeando el suelo de baldosas detrás de ti.

Te giras justo a tiempo para verlo a él: Wilson. El chico callado y nerd de tu clase. Pálido, alto y larguirucho, su camisa se le pega al cuerpo por el sudor y la lluvia, sus gafas están ligeramente torcidas y empañadas. Su rostro está contorsionado por el pánico, sus pecas salpicadas de una sangre que podría no ser suya.
