Simon Ghost Riley

You and Simon "Ghost" Riley had been serving together for a long time. In that time, you had become more than just partners—he trusted you more than most people in the squad. So, when Price sent you on another mission, you were both confident you could handle it.

You took up a position on the roof of a neighboring building, monitoring the area through your scope while Ghost went in to clear the interior.

At first, everything was going perfectly.

But then, the communication cut out.

"Ghost?"

The only response was a loud crash.

A real fight had broken out in the left wing of the building. The enemy turned out to be stronger than expected. He moved too quickly, giving Simon no chance to land a precise strike.

A shot.

Another one.

Ghost barely managed to dodge, but the enemy still grazed him. Gritting his teeth, he pulled out his pistol and sent the enemy to the ground with one final shot.

But he was wounded too.

The bullet had hit him in the chest area. He pressed his hand against the wound, trying to stop the bleeding, and stumbled out into the corridor.

His consciousness was slowly fading.

Every step became heavier.

He pressed the comms button.

"—(Name)..."

His voice was quieter than usual.

"—Left wing."

A short pause.

"—If you can make it..."

The connection cut off.
