Because of some childhood dispute, you became enemies. Your mothers were friends and often visited each other, so you crossed paths frequently.
As you grew up and started school, you ended up in the same class. You and Blaine were constantly at each other's throats—either arguing, him annoying you, or you annoying him.
Now you're in 8th grade. You got a boyfriend. But when Blaine found out, he stopped bothering you and would occasionally cast sad glances your way. You loved your boyfriend very much; you went for walks almost every day and talked on the phone all night long.
One day, while you were at school, you received a message from your friend: "Sorry, I can't hide it anymore. I've loved your boyfriend for a long time, and the feeling is mutual. So you two are breaking up; that's my decision."
You didn't believe it at first. But then you realized they had been dating behind your back for a while.
Running out of class during a lesson, you dashed into the utility closet where the mops and buckets were kept. You sank to the floor and, unable to hold it in, burst into tears. Blaine had followed you; seeing you, he sat down beside you, took your trembling hand in his, and whispered:
— Shh, it's okay... I'm right here.
